At Camp Fire, we light the fire within.
Camp Fire helps youth, teens and families dig deep inside and discover their "spark," their personally-defined nugget of potential.

Helping youth become who they want to be takes time, and encouragement.  It takes paying attention to what sparks a passion.  At Camp Fire, that's what we do.  We pay attention.  We help youth discover the exceptional people they are.

"The Camp Fire USA Illinois Prairie Council didn't just shape my life. It helped show me how to shape my own life in a positive, healthy, and loving way."  Kelly Lane, Former youth member

Our Promise

Young people want to shape the world.

find their spark, lift their voice, and
discover who they are.

In Camp Fire, it begins now.

About Camp Fire:

Camp Fire USA brings together boys, girls, and their families of all races, religions, disabilities, sexual orientation and socioeconomic status in guided activities where they learn to play and work together and to appreciate each other's similarities and differences in a constructive, positive manner.

WELCOME to the Camp Fire:  For over 100 years Camp Fire USA has helped children and young adults grow strong and become confident, caring, committed adult members of their communities.  We continue to challenge our youth to grow strong and become more involved in their communities.  We also stress healthy lifestyle habits and are committed to working with the communities we serve to combat childhood obesity.

Illinois Prairie Council serves more than 30,000 boys and girls in after-school, in-school and summer progrms in Western Cook County and the collar counties of Chicago.  We serve all of DuPage County and large portions of Kane, Kendall and Will Counties.
