Building Big Ideas at Builders & Inventors Day!

Building Big Ideas at Builders & Inventors Day!

This summer, Camp Prairie Oaks was filled with big ideas, creative thinking, and plenty of building at our Builders & Inventors Day!

It was a wonderful day to give kids the freedom and space to create, experiment, problem-solve, and think outside the box. Instead of being given one way to complete a project, kids were encouraged to try their own ideas, test them out, and see what happened.

Throughout the day, families explored a variety of hands-on stations designed to get kids thinking. There were flying creations to test, boats to build and see if they could stay afloat, bridges to design and strengthen, and plenty of other building challenges along the way.

Of course, not every creation worked perfectly—and that was part of the fun! Kids had the opportunity to try again, make changes, and discover what worked best. They were learning important STEM skills while simply having fun and getting their hands busy.

Most importantly, Builders & Inventors Day gave families a chance to step away from screens and spend time together outdoors, exploring, creating, and enjoying all that Camp Prairie Oaks has to offer.

We loved watching the kids take an idea and turn it into something of their very own. From the first sketch to the final creation, there was no shortage of imagination at camp!

We can’t wait to see what our young builders and inventors come up with next! 🔥🌲
