Growing Together: A Look at Our Wheaton Club
Our Wheaton Club has been busy, and we are so excited to share all that our group has been up to this year! One of the most exciting updates—our club has grown to 10 amazing kids. Watching our group expand has made our time together even more special as new friendships continue to form.

Throughout the year, our youth have been working hard toward their trail emblems, and we are proud to say we are close to completing all five emblems for the year. Their dedication, curiosity, and enthusiasm have truly shined in every activity we’ve taken on together.

Right now, we are wrapping up our cooking unit, which has been a favorite for many. The kids have spent time exploring cookbooks, researching recipes, and creating their own lists of ingredients and supplies. Soon, they’ll bring their plans to life during our upcoming cooking day—an exciting opportunity to see their hard work come full circle.

Creativity has also been a big part of our journey. Our members have created a wide variety of art projects, experimenting with different mediums and filling their portfolios with thoughtful, imaginative work. It’s been incredible to watch their confidence grow as they express themselves in new ways.

Service and community involvement continue to be at the heart of what we do. From participating in our Valentines for Veterans project to brainstorming new ways to give back, our kids are learning the importance of kindness, gratitude, and making a difference.

We’ve also loved getting out into our local community and being part of special events. This past season, our group participated in Scout Night at Cantigny Park and joined in the excitement of the holiday parade, giving our kids even more opportunities to connect, represent our club, and celebrate together.

Our members have also stepped into leadership roles, helping with fundraising efforts and learning what it takes to support their club and its goals. These experiences are helping them build responsibility, teamwork, and confidence.

Looking ahead, we are especially excited as we prepare for our first overnight camp at Camp Prairie Oaks this spring. This will be a big milestone for our group and a chance for even more growth, independence, and unforgettable memories.

It has been truly wonderful to watch each child grow individually while also strengthening as a group. The friendships, skills, and experiences they are building now are just the beginning of their Camp Fire journey—and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
